Thermage™

This new revolutionary procedure was FDA-approved in November of 2002. This procedure is a non-invasive treatment for wrinkles and sagging skin. If you suffer from sagging eyebrows, wrinkles, and sagging of the skin on the cheeks or neck then you might benefit from these treatments.

We have been performing this procedure since it was approved and we have more experience with Thermage than anyone in Eastern North Carolina.

Thermage™ works by chilling the skin surface and simultaneously applying radio frequency energy to produce heat under the skin which then causes a gradual tightening of the collagen in the skin over a six-month period of time. The skin surface is spared from any injury, which allows patients to return to work or normal activities immediately.

The procedure takes 30-90 minutes to perform depending on the size of the area being treated. Patients are sedated during the procedure which allows for increased comfort during the heating cycles of the treatment.
