At each appointment please verify that we have your current insurance information, address, phone numbers, home and cell, as well as your email address.
We use Televox services to call and remind our patients of their appointments. If you choose to opt out of this and do not want to receive a reminder call, please make this known when you make your appointment.
Please make note of your appointment date and time because if you do not have an answering machine or if your line continuously rings busy,Televox may not be able to leave a reminder message.
If you want to receive all such calls on your cell phone, please let us know at the time you make your appointment.
Please understand that we will make an effort to accommodate your request for specific appointments dates and times but this is not always possible.
If you must cancel your appointment, please let us know 24 hours in advance so we can offer the appointment to another patient.
Cosmetic Appointments and Procedures
For extended cosmetic consult appointments there is a pre-paid $75 charge.
For large cosmetic surgical appointments there is a $500 deposit required and the balance due at the time of the procedure.
We offer cosmetic specials on procedures and/or products from time to time and we will be glad to notify you of our current special(s) via email. Please let us know if you wish to receive notification.
For cancellations of surgical or cosmetic procedure we respectfully request 48 hours notice.
At the time of your visit please provide our staff with a complete legible list of your
medications and their dosage schedule as well as any medications that you are allergic to.
If you are a new patient, or your medical history/medications have changed, and/or if you have not been seen within 3 years, we offer on line registration. On line registration will shorten your time of having to fill out paperwork at our office.
If you do not already have a login and password set with our company, we will be glad to email you the link and instructions.
Our on-line portal is secure and easy to use.
If you do not have insurance or we do not have a contract with your insurance company, then payment in full is expected at the time of your visit. All insurance co-pays and deductibles are due at the time of your visit. If you do not have your co-pay we will be glad to reschedule your appointment. You are required to provide us with a copy of your insurance card(s) and a photo ID. It is your responsibility to know your specialty co-pay and/or deductible.
Our staff is trained to assist you in our office policies if you have questions. We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard and Care Credit.
There is a return check fee of $25 for all bad checks.
If it becomes necessary to work out a payment policy and/or plan, our goal is to work with our patients in setting up a collection policy that works for all parties involved. The effectiveness of any policy depends on the patient and/or responsible party.
If your account becomes delinquent, any fees by the collection agency is your responsibility.
Minor and/or Incompetent Patients
NC law states that those seeking or authorizing treatment of minors and/or incompetent patients is responsible for paying the bill. Any other arrangement between parties are between such parties and has no effect on Goldsboro Skin Center’s payment policy.
Medical Insurance Policies
We have contracts with the following insurance companies:
- Atlantic Integrated Health/Beacon Company BCBS
- CIGNA Healthcare/ Great West
- Coventry/formerly Wellpath
- Medicare and/or most Medicare Advantage Plans MedCost
- Tricare Prime and Tricare Standard
- United Health Care
We will be glad to file all insurance covered charges with your insurance company but not all services that we offer are covered by insurance.
If you choose to have services/procedures that your insurance company does not cover then all charges for such services/procedures are due at the time of the service.
There is a fee of $15-$35 for filling out all specialty insurance forms, disability forms, cancer forms, etc. Please allow our staff at least 3 business days to complete such forms and payment is due when the forms are picked up.
